HOLTS ARMS COVID 19 STATEMENT, JULY 7, 2020

The safety of our team and our customers is our no 1 priority - which means your experience of visiting the Holts Arms is going to be a bit different for a while.

So from July 7th, please see the guidance below:

  1. Tables can to be booked in advance. You will have your booked table for a maximum of just short of 3 hours. If you would like to remain with us after this time please speak to a member of staff to see if it is possible to accommodate you.  The tables can be booked for a maximum of 4 people outside and 6 inside (where government regs allow).

  2. Entrance is at the front door of the pub, please wait to be seated by one of our team. Please don't just wander into the pub or beer garden. We will direct you to your table.

  3. Please read our notice about health regulations on the front door. Please use the hand sanitiser provided at the entrance, in the toilets and throughout the pub.

  4. For the time being you cannot stand inside the pub, it is table service only.  The staff will come and take your order. Outside, if you require service please use the service flag on your table so the staff know to come over to you. Follow instructions given to you by the staff at all times please.

  5. Staff will take payment after each order, this can be by cash or card but card is preferable.  Payment will be taken at your table.

  6. We will need to take your details for the compulsory Government track and trace scheme.  A name and number will be taken for your booking or on you arrival. If the track and trace scheme need to be contacted these are the details that will be passed onto them. Details will be kept for 21 days as required by the Government. This is a legal requirement and a condition of entry to the pub.

  7. Please comply with and respect the staff when we prompt you that your table is needed for the next customers.  Tables will be sanitised between bookings.

  8. Please remain at the table allocated to you. You are politely requested not to move around and unless you need to use the toilets.

  9. If your booking is outside and the weather changes unless there is a free table inside you will not be permitted to go inside the pub as under the Government regulations standing inside pubs is not currently allowed, sorry.  There is partial cover outside which will be allocated to bookings as a priority but it's not fully weatherproof so come prepared for Billinge weather.

  10. Should you be worried at any time about social distancing please speak to a member of staff immediately.

We want you all to have an enjoyable visit and keep our staff and you safe.  If you are unable to follow these guidelines as set out by the Government then it will be necessary to ask you to leave.  We are having to operate under very different and challenging circumstances and we all need to work together.

The Holts Arms aka The Foot, dates back to around 1721. It has recently been refurbished and now feels spacious and bright, while remaining cosy and welcoming as it always has been. With events going on all the time, including a favourite, the Pub Quiz on a Wednesday night, the Holts is never quiet.
